Who doesn't like gambling?
12 teams, identified by color. Each team enters 3 horses (A, B, C), and each team has its own pool of flavor names — three of which are drawn at random per tournament. The team color is the visual key everywhere in this app.
That's 36 horses total. They race 6 at a time across 12 races.
The 12 races are divided into 4 brackets:
Initial Heats are shuffled so no two horses from the same team race each other. From the Qualifiers onward, team pairings are allowed — the field is filled by the previous bracket's top finishers.
Each horse rolls 4d6 per lap × 3 laps. Highest total over the three laps wins; positions 2, 3, … are filled by the next-highest totals.
On the Run Race page the DM can either type physical-dice totals into each cell or hit Auto-roll entire race to let the app roll all 72d6 at once (6 horses × 4d6 × 3 laps). Either way the lap totals are logged on the race result.
Horses with an active wager on them can't be auto-rolled by the DM — the dice icon next to those rows is disabled so the player rolls physical dice and the DM types the result. Bulk auto-roll actions (entire race or all empty cells in a lap) still work and will prompt for confirmation if any bet-backed horses would be rolled by the app.
Payouts are quoted as 1:odds. A 10gp stake at 1:4 returns 40gp in winnings on top of the stake. Team Finale and All The Way bets lock the moment Race 1 begins — get them in early.
